As preseason camp continues, Gamecock Football hosted their annual Media Day Sunday. With the buzz around the Gamecocks going into the 2011 season, the media attention continues to grow. Both national writers and our local media gathered at Williams-Brice Stadium for the event.
The day started off with team photos - both as position groups and individuals. Players then broke into offensive and defensive groups to shoot video headshots (the clips you see on the videoboard during player introductions on gameday with players saying their name, position, class, and hometown).
The student-athletes who were requested the most by media were grouped together as offense and defense to do one big press conference each. Dozens of other student-athletes and coaches were available for one-on-one interviews.

The Gamecocks return to the Proving Grounds practice fields at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening for their first practice in pads. Practice is open to the public.
