"Spotlight: 2011 SEC Spring Football" Show Debuts Thursday Night Between Baseball Games

_1AS4072.JPGDuring the 30 minute break between the Alabama/Florida game and our SEC Tournament game vs. Vanderbilt tonight stay tuned to SportSouth. They are debuting Spotlight: 2011 SEC Spring Football at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET depending on the end time of the Alabama/Florida game.

Spotlight: 2011 SEC Spring Football is a 30-minute special highlighting seven of the 12 SEC football programs as they prepare for the upcoming season, including South Carolina.  Host Ray Goodrich sat down with the seven head coaches this spring to discuss the current status of their teams, the coaching philosophies they're using approaching the new season and what their teams have and need to be successful in 2011. Schools and head coaches included in the show are:

University of Alabama; Nick Saban
Auburn University; Gene Chizik
University of Georgia; Mark Richt
University of Kentucky; Joker Phillips
University of South Carolina; Steve Spurrier
University of Tennessee; Derek Dooley
Vanderbilt University; James Franklin
 
Joker Phillips, James Franklin, and our own Coach Spurrier wore microphones throughout practice to give viewers an all access pass to the preparation for next season.
 
So tune in tonight for a little taste of football in between the SEC baseball action. South Carolina will take on Vanderbilt on the diamond in the final game of today's SEC Tournament action. Game time is set for approximately 9:00 p.m. ET, or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game between Alabama and Florida.


Spotlight: 2011 SEC Spring Football
premieres on SportSouth on Thursday, May 26 at 8:30 p.m. ET and has additional airings on:
May 28 at 5:00 p.m. ET
May 29 at 7:30 p.m. ET
May 31 at 10:30 p.m. ET
