The first stop of the Gamecock Fan Fest Tour presented by the Gamecock Club attracted a great crowd to Charlotte Knights Stadium last night. Over 500 people attended the event, taking photos with Cocky and the cheerleaders and our championship trophies, playing tailgating games, participating in kids activities, listening to live music from Tokyo Joe, and more.
Head Coaches Shelley Smith (Women's Soccer), Mark Berson (Men's Soccer), Darrin Horn (Men's Basketball) and Steve Spurrier (Football) all spoke to the crowd. Local football players Stephon Gilmore and DeVonte Holloman (both graduates of nearby South Pointe High School in Rock Hill) also spoke about the upcoming season.
Hope to see another great crowd on Monday in Charleston!
