Congratulations to the Gamecock Productions staff - Director Paul Danna and Assistant Directors Kyle Lewis and Justin Stoll - and their student assistants on being nominated for a 2011 College Sports Media Award!
South Carolina's nomination is in the "College Athletics: Special Feature" category for the Gamecock Confidential series that took fans behind the scenes with the Gamecock Softball team and new head coach Beverly Smith as they prepared for their new season. The six-episode series was something new here at South Carolina and it garnered thousands of views on YouTube and GamecocksOnline.com. Other nominees include features by Michigan, Oregon, Dayton, Stanford, and the ACC.
The CSMA winners will be announced at the College Sports Video Summit on June 7th in Atlanta. Danna and his crew will also be presenting a case study on the Gamecock Confidential series to their peers at the College Sports Video Summit.
