Two Gamecocks earned conference honors this week with Michael Roth being named SEC Pitcher of the Week (Baseball) and Julie Sarratt being named SEC Freshman of the Week (Softball).
Senior sprinter LaKya Brookins continued her record-setting year with the fastest wind-legal time in the 100-meter dash run so far this year at 11.10 seconds, improving her personal best time by one-tenth of a second. It was the second-fastest time in Gamecock history behind Shalonda Solomon's 11.07 run in 2006.
