With near-capacity attendance this past weekend for each of the three games vs. Georgia, South Carolina Baseball set its second-highest ever mark for three-game weekend series attendance. Friday's game drew 8,069 fans, Saturday's game the attendance was 8,105 and Sunday was 8,012 for a three-game total of 24,186. The current record for three-game
weekend series attendance at Carolina Stadium was set last season vs.
Alabama (April 30-May 2, 2010) at 24,204.
The great crowds this weekend enjoyed beautiful spring weather and saw the Gamecocks win the series two games to one over the Dawgs to improve their record to 14-4 overall and 2-1 in the SEC . Next up the Gamecocks host two mid-week games, Tuesday vs. College of Charleston and Wednesday vs. Rhode Island, before hitting the road for an SEC series at #1 Florida in Gainesville.
