THIS WEEK IN GAMECOCK COUNTRY...
After SEC road trips this past weekend both Baseball and Softball return to Columbia this week with one in-state nonconference match-up each on Wednesday and a three-game SEC series each this weekend. Baseball will take on The Citadel at Carolina Stadium on Wednesday at 7:00 PM and will face Kentucky on Friday (7:00 PM), Saturday (4:30 PM) and Sunday (1:30 PM). Over at Beckham Field Softball will face USC Upstate at 5:00 PM on Wednesday and host a weekend series vs. Alabama with something special for fans for each game. Friday's game (6:00 PM) is $1 Hot Dog Day, Saturday (2:00 PM) is Girl Scout Day (all Girl Scouts receive $1 admission and can participate in a Gamecock Softball banner competition), and Sunday (12:00 PM) we'll wrap up the weekend with Little League Day - all youth softball teams will receive $1 admission and kids can run the bases after the game.
Men's Tennis hosts two SEC matches this weekend, facing Vanderbilt on Friday at 2:00 PM and Kentucky on Sunday at 1:00 PM. Weather permitting those two matches will be played at the Maxcy Gregg Tennis Center. The indoor tennis facility at the Field House is the alternate location. Admission is free to tennis events.
