THIS WEEK IN GAMECOCK COUNTRY...
The young Baseball season continues with two more home games this week against in-state opponents, first vs. Furman tonight at 7:00 PM then vs. rival Clemson this Friday at 7:00 PM. The Gamecocks are 6-0 so far with two weekend sweeps of Santa Clara and Southern Illinois and ranked No. 4 in the nation in the Baseball America Top 25 and the USA Today/ESPN coaches' poll. The three-game series with Clemson continues on the road with a neutral site game at Fluor Field in Greenville on Saturday and at Clemson on Sunday.
Men's Basketball hosts Senior Night this week at the final regular season home game vs. Tennessee on Thursday. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM and Senior Night festivities for Sam Muldrow and Johndre Jefferson will take place before the game so get there early to help honor our seniors and give a great atmosphere for this nationally televised game (ESPN). The first 250 SC students at the game will receive free pizza.
Men's Tennis opens up SEC play this week with home matches vs. Arkansas on Friday at 2:00 PM and vs. LSU on Sunday at 1:00 PM. To kick off SEC play the first match vs. Arkansas will have free pizza for Carolina students and a Facebook coupon fans can redeem for a prize. Admission to tennis matches is free.
