A great feature video on Gamecock RB Cory Boyd (2003-2007) is making the rounds among fans online. It focuses on his difficult background and how he has overcome it to become a top player in the CFL this past season for the Toronto Argonauts.
Boyd was named the Argos' Most Outstanding Player and was recognized as one of the best running backs in the entire CFL when he was named to the CFL All-Star team, voted on by players and coaches. Boyd finished as the league's second-leading rusher with 1,359 yards, scored eight touchdowns (six rushing & two receiving) and was the club's fifth-leading receiver (363 yards). Boyd led the CFL in yards from scrimmage with 1,722 and broke or matched several club records.

There are no words strong enough to convey how happy I am to see this young man succeed. I wish every child who comes from an environment like Corys could see this video and know that there is hope, you can succeed, you just have to dedicate yourself to achieving the goal. God Bless Cory. Gamecock nation is still cheering for you.
Cory Boyd is my favorite Gamecock player of all time. Glad to see your doing so well.
