A great video feature on former South Carolina running back Cory Boyd made the rounds a few weeks ago and now there's more news on the Gamecock great in the CFL:

From The Globe and Mail:

The Toronto Argonauts have extended the contract of star running back Cory Boyd through the 2013 season, the team announced Monday.

Boyd had a stellar rookie season in 2010. He was the league's second-leading rusher with 1,359 yards and scored eight touchdowns (six rushing & two receiving). He also tallied 363 receiving yards. Boyd led the CFL in yards from scrimmage with 1,722 and broke or matched several club records.

"He is the kind of player other teams do not want to play against and the kind of player you want on your side," said Argonauts general manager and head coach Jim Barker in a statement. "He proved to be a vital part of our offence and locking up key players is a core part of our philosophy."

Cory Boyd, one of the greatest Gamecocks of all time.Gave us all he had that senior year, what a player. At Georgia Coach Spurrier turned the gaame over to Cory with a slight lead and about 3 minutes to go. In his finest hour Cory ripped Georgia for three first downs in a row right into the teeth of their defense. A great Gamecock. 165 yards on the ground against Tennessee in Knoxville that year.
