By appearing in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, the Gamecocks will be on national TV in primetime on New Year's Eve, with no other football games on in the same time slot.
The Chick-fil-A Bowl Facebook page added almost 2,000 additional fans in one day after announcing South Carolina and Florida State as its participants.
