After a standout freshman year, Alshon Jeffery is

I sat down with Alshon to get to know a little bit more about the sophomore superstar, asking about his favorite things, what he enjoys about being a student-athlete at Carolina, and what qualities or strengths enable him to be so successful. Alshon noted that playing basketball as well has helped him, particularly when going up for a catch. He said rebounding and boxing out skills in basketball help him beat other guys in football.

Not surprisingly, one of his favorite memories at Carolina so far is beating Alabama, but close behind? Men's Basketball's win over No. 1 Kentucky and the Baseball team winning the College World Series.

I also asked Alshon what's going through his mind when he makes a catch and turns downfield, such as with his 70-yd touchdown against Tennessee. I couldn't love his answer more...

"Do something to be great."
