After a great season for South Carolina Men's Soccer, including winning the Conference USA Championship and earning a No. 7 national seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Gamecocks fell  3-1 to No. 10 seed Michigan in the third round of the NCAA Tournament to finish the season with a 13-7-2 record. After a scoreless first half, Michigan went up 1-0 with 26 minutes to play, followed soon after by a red card issued to senior Will Traynor, who would have to leave the game. The Gamecocks played a man down for the remainder of the game which opened up more opportunities for Michigan. Full recap to come on GamecocksOnline.com.

Congratulations to the team on their fantastic season, a conference championship, and a tough, hard fought battle at the end. The team and staff worked incredibly hard all season, including practicing and training through the Thanksgiving holiday this week to prepare for today's game. The team spent the holiday together and had a Thanksgiving meal together at a local hotel after practice.

The senior class in particular deserves special recognition for reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time during their time at Carolina and for shutting out Clemson all four years.

Congratulations again to the team and Coach Mark Berson and we'll see ya next year!

Go Gamecocks!
