If you haven't heard, Cocky's 30th birthday is October 16th so we will celebrating with fans all week. Coach Spurrier kicked things off yesterday at his weekly press conference by presenting Cocky with a special birthday cake and the festivities will continue this weekend at home matches for Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, and Volleyball.
At Women's Soccer on Friday (vs. conference rival Georgia @ 7:00 PM) photos submitted by fans of Cocky from over the years will play on the video board and the crowd will join together in singing Happy Birthday. There is still time to email your photos to Gamedaypics2010@gmail.com. We will include as many as possible of the best ones we receive! The photos will also be posted on the Gamecocks' Facebook page in a special birthday tribute album for Cocky with photos from all the birthday events.
The party continues on Saturday at Men's Soccer (vs. UCF @ 7:00 PM) where Cocky will receive special video messages from several South Carolina coaches and once again be serenaded by the crowd. The celebration will conclude on Sunday as the Volleyball team takes on Auburn at 1:30 PM and fans will be able to sign a birthday card to be presented to Cocky.
Cocky will receive special gifts each day from all three teams and lots of love from fans. Happy 30th Birthday to our favorite Bird!
