Lewis Hired at Newberry

Congratulations to former South Carolina men's soccer player Spencer Lewis, who was recently named an assistant men's soccer coach at Newberry College.  Lewis, a four-year letterwinner (2005-08) at South Carolina, joins a long list of former players and staff members that make up the "Mark Berson Coaching Tree."  Berson, who enters his 33rd season at the helm of the Gamecock men's soccer program this fall, has 10 former players and staff members that are currently college coaches.  Below is a breakdown of those coaches who have either played for, or coached alongside Berson.

Doug Allison: Former player (1984-87) and assistant coach - Head Coach, Furman University (men's soccer)
Trevor Adair: Former assistant coach - Assistant Coach, Old Dominion University (men's soccer)
Charlie Arndt: Former player (1985-88) - Assistant Coach, Furman University (men's soccer)
Bryan Cunningham: Former assistant coach - Head Coach, Central Florida (men's soccer)
Geoff del Forn: Former player (2005-07) - Assistant Coach, USC Upstate (men's soccer)
