South Carolina senior right-handed pitcher Blake Cooper met with University of South Carolina medical director Dr. Jeffrey Guy on Monday morning. He was examined and X-rayed and there was no sign of a fracture in his right hand. He will undergo daily treatments and is expected to pitch the opening game for the Gamecocks at the College World Series. Cooper was hit by a line drive foul ball in the eighth inning of Saturday's game while sitting in the dugout at the NCAA Myrtle Beach Super Regional.
