After the conclusion of Sunday's men's tennis match against No. 4 Tennessee, head coach Kent DeMars will have coached his final home match at the helm of the South Carolina program. After 37 years of collegiate coaching and 26 in charge of the Gamecocks, DeMars will retire at the end of the 2010 season.
DeMars is the all-time winningest coach at South Carolina and an inductee in the South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame. In May, DeMars will be one of 10 inductees to the Collegiate Tennis Hall of Fame.
Make it out to Maxcy Gregg Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. to celebrate the careers of DeMars and the team's three seniors - Pedro Campos, Ivan Cressoni and Diego Cubas.
