Top of the Key: WBB vs. Kentucky

The Gamecocks will be on the road traveling to Lexington, Ky. to battle it out against No.16 Wildcats Sunday. Game time is set for 3 p.m. at Memorial Coliseum.

South Carolina (13-12, 6-7) Notes
-The Gamecocks are 24th in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage (.369).
 
-In the last five games, South Carolina has committed just 12.6 turnovers per game, compared to its 17.6 season average. The Gamecocks are 6-3 when committing equal or fewer turnovers than its opponents.

-In the last five games, the Gamecock defense has held opponents to just 53.0 points per game, allowing only then-No.5/5 Tennessee to reach the 60-point mark. Prior to this stretch , opponents had been netting 66.9 ppg.

-South Carolina has two wins over nationally-ranked teams for the first time since the 2002-03 season, during which the Gamecocks were also ranked for most of the season.

-The last match between the two SEC schools was at Colonial Life Arena on January 14. With five players scoring in double figures, the Gamecocks delivered a 79-71 win over Kentucky.
Kelsey Bone led the five-pronged attack with 23 points on 11-of-14 shooting to go with her game high nine rebounds.

-Kentucky ranks No.16 in both the AP poll and USA Today/ESPN coaches poll. It marks the Cat's highest ranking since a No.15 spot during the first week of the 2006-07 season.

-The Cats have won 16 consecutive games in Memorial Coliseum. It ties for the third longest home winning streak in school history.

-Kentucky won a school record of eight consecutive SEC regular season games, before falling to Vanderbilt last week.

-The Wildcats are led by SEC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year candidate Victoria Dunlap. She is the only player in the SEC to rank in the top four in scoring (17.7 ppg) and rebounding (8.7). She also leads the league in steals (3.2), ranks fifth in blocks (1.9) and eighth in field goal percentage (.514).  

-Over the last 5 games the rookie guard, A'dia Mathies has averaged 17.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.4 steals per game in helping lead the Wildcats to a 9-3 SEC record.
