As part of ESPN's companywide celebration of Veterans Day, ESPNU is saluting student-athletes who have served in the military. Through Wednesday, ESPNU will air an animated montage of the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, as well as Veterans Day videos showcasing testimonials of student-athletes who have served in the military. The yearbook-style illustrations include photos and stories about how life in the service has prepared them for college, life and the future.
Matt Grooms, a former Marine and current walk-on for the Gamecock football team was featured in one of these videos.
